Imran Khan, Swan Energy, talks about the recent trip to the Permian Basin by President Donald Trump. Khan said while many are focusing on the negatives in oil and gas, the president’s trip highlights positivity in industry.
“It’s nice to see the positivity from President Trump around our energy dominance in America,” Kahn said. “I think it is great to be able to know we are in the right direction.”
Kahn continued citing examples from Swan Energy’s diverse perspective, which includes, among others, natural gas, trucking and gold mines.
The interview also dove into a brief discussion about the $600/week Federal Unemployment expiring and some non-traditional options for people being impacted by the expiring subsidy.
Spiess asked Kahn to recap Swan Energy’s unique approach to generating non-traditional revenue for those searching for answers. According to Kahn, Swan Energy has been administering a kind of well sharing program for their employees and others. He said this has become a way for some to make a monthly income for whatever their personal need is.
The interview transitioned into a slice of the economy that is flying under the radar – plastics. Spiess and Kahn discussed how “the new normal” is very much reliant on plastics and PPE equipment, which are fossil fuel dominant.
