HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Jason Spiess and Sterling start the show off talking about the group of high school kids making their way from the East Side of North Dakota to the Bakken BBQ to hand out DAPL Smoked ESG Potatoes. The high school kids are part of a program started in 2015 called The Bakken Bridge, an east west education and awareness program.
Other items of note from the Bakken BBQ:
- Raise Money for and Experience with Make A Wish
- First Reponders Honored All Evening
- The Bakken Bridge
- Mich Hager, president, K9 Pipe Inspections
- Bismarck Mayor Steve Bakken
- What DAPL Smoked ESG Potatoes are
- Why Men’s Health was at the Bakken BBQ
- The Power of a child’s courage
The Play Hard segment continues as Jason and Sterling pontificate what owning a Tesla EV would really be like as a professional.
Jason started doing Musk Math, which made Sterling bored real fast. However, Sterling quickly was drawn back into the conversation as the reality of the Musk Math made no sense in today’s marketplace.
The two began calculating just how long it would take to drive a Tesla EV car from Fargo, ND to Odessa, TX in the Permian Basin. Normally the trip can be done in 20-22 hours, depending on traffic and detours. With a Tesla, The Crude Life would have to stop in Sioux Falls, SD to charge for 10 hours.
Jason points out the amount of investment the new Joe Biden Infrastructure plan has earmarked for EV cars compared to roads, bridges and pipelines should make people pay attention now. He also commented how interesting it is that our tax dollars are paying for much of the infrastructure for EV cars while Tesla seems to be the one who profits. It’s Musk Math dude.
In HOUR TWO we WORK HARD with our Newsmaker Interview: Dan South, Dome Technology
Dan South talks about the concrete dome technology and how they are benefiting oil and gas.
