HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Jason Spiess and Sterling are in another “Time Masheene” episode of The Crude Life Morning Show. Dealing with last week’s out of town meetings the two continue to play catch up.
The Crude Life made it’s SPUD-Tactular announcement, which is that it will be smoking potatoes at the Bakken BBQ this year as a symbolic way to offer even more inclusion, diversity and options.
Spiess, who is also the emcee of the Bakken BBQ, said the potatoes that will be used for the Bakken BBQ were grown on a farm outside of Dawson, ND, and will be cooked in a recycled and repurposed piece of the Dakota Access Pipeline.
The Crude Life will also be working as an Environmental Energy Ambassador during the Bakken BBQ with The Bakken Bridge, an East/West energy awareness program. High school students from the Fargo Moorhead area will be attending the Bakken BBQ, handing out potatoes as well as learning first hand about the oil and gas industry and environmental energy.
In addition to The Crude Life’s Smoked Potatoes and regular
offerings, The Bakken BBQ will honor and celebrate First Responders as
part of the event.
A first responder is a person with specialized training who is among
the first to arrive and provide assistance at the scene of an emergency,
such as an accident, natural disaster, or terrorism. First responders
typically include law enforcement officers, paramedics, EMT’s and
firefighters.
The Bakken BBQ will be honoring their service all night on stage and at the event.
The 9th Annual Bakken BBQ is Friday June 18 at the West River Ice Center in Dickinson, ND. For more information email bakkenbbq@hotmail.com or studio@thecrudelife.com
Sterling then has to listen to Jason lose his marbles slowly on the air. Jason, who is a Libra, believes he plays mental ping pong with life’s scenarios and experiences until they are vapor. The vapor then becomes an action.
Jason examines his self awareness of needing a vacation because his “Libra mind” is starting to skip like a record and is fully aware the problem is him, not others. The two dissect the fine line of needing a vacation, quitting your jobs and the emergence of snippy snapping for no reason.
In HOUR TWO we WORK HARD with our Newsmaker Interview: Danny Skiff, Specialized Desanders USA
Skiff gives an overview of a recent study involving their desanders and how it greatly reduces “fugitive emissions”.
Skiff said they can determine how much sand is needed in regards to managing emissions along with methane and carbon reductions.
The shapes of sand are discussed in regards to the frac and the environment. Distribution costs, geography and emissions are also part of the discussion.
The Davis Refinery in the Bakken, spearheaded by Meridian Energy Group is folded into the discussion with their work on fugitive emission reductions.
Federal lands, agriculture and Harrison Ford are also topics of conversation.
The Crude Life Daily Update For the Radio On The Podcast: Ron Gusek, president, Liberty Oilfield Services
Ron Gusek, president, Liberty Oilfield Services, talks about community service in oil and gas. He also cites the Williston Basin API Chili Cookoff as a recent example of fundraising and community fellowship.
