HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Jason Spiess and Sterling run down the week’s programming and travel schedule. Jason is scheduled to meet and interview Jerry Simmons, president and CEO, Domestic Energy Partners Alliance (DEPA) in Tulsa, OK.
After Tulsa, Jason will make his way to Odessa/Midland for the Permian Basin Association of Pipeliner’s Annual Cookoff.
After spending a few days in the Permian Basin, Jason will be meeting and interviewing Warren Martin, Kansas Strong, on his way back to the Bakken.
Jason and Sterling discuss their belief that the big Social Media Thump coming to the professional world and government employees. Texas Governor Greg Abbott backs bill to stop social media companies from banning Texans for political views.
From government employees only endorsing certain people to using company money to build a personal brand to President Trump banned to who owns the content are just a couple threads of the social media discussion.
The Play Hard segment attempts to talk Carbon Pricing and Carbon Taxes which didn’t go well. Between the shear boredom of the technical description, subjective nature and political interference the conversation veered into other directions quickly.
Unscripted blasphemy on a Monday morning in the Play Hard segment. Sterling, who was born Jewish, grew up in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia pretending he was a Christian. Jason, who was baptized Catholic, recalls when he tried to start a Youth Group in his Catholic Church and was run out of the church by the old school nuns.
Other Play Hard nuggets of interest include why The Rock has already launched his presidential exploratory committee, Secretary Fun Bags, EGOT issues and George W. as a cheerleader.
