HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Sterling and Jason Spiess sip Willie’s CBD Reserve Coffee while discussing who would win in a presidential SmackDown between “The Rock” Duane Johnson and Elon Musk.
Jason believes The Rock has a legitimate chance to start a third political party – The People’s Party. Otherwise he could fit in either political party, however, his recent endorsement of Joe Biden could have shown his political hand. Musk on the otherhand, is creating discourse that is connecting with a traditional republican base.
The two discuss how Rock v. Musk 2024 would ironically bring civil discourse back to politics.
Jason and Sterling wonder if the state governors Better Call Saul with their suing the President of the United States for his executive orders impacting the oil and gas economy.
The Play Hard portion continues with the Idol Worshiping of Dolly Parton to the tune the state legislature in Tennessee is looking at using tax payer money to construct a Dolly Parton statue in reaction to an online poll. Word finally found it’s way to Dolly that the tax payers of Tennessee were going to tear down Confederate Statues and replace one with her. Although grateful by the gesture, she politely asked the state to reconsider their intentions and to stop idol worshiping her.
Air Supply’s lack of Fonzi-cool, WTF is ERGOT, frozen pipes in Houston, Carson Wentz trade and Willie’s Special Reserve CBD Coffee are other topics during the Play Hard segment.

We have the wonderful opportunity to talk to Stephanie Canales with Cougar Drilling Solutions. She discussed a little bit about Cougar Drilling and her role as well as the difficulties of starting her position during one of the most tumultuous times in recent history.
We talk about new opportunities from surprising places, including a promotion with DEPA and a new position working with the Department of Energy. Stephanie also takes a moment to mention the seven different pillars the Equity and Energy Program that she, as an ambassador, helps to bring to the public.
This would, of course, include helping to show the public the variety of opportunities within the Energy Industry across so many different backgrounds.
“It’s great to be able to collaborate with people on the government side and to learn more about how we can kind of bridge our talents and help more people get into energy because, you know, it’s a national security issue to be energy independent and have people be competent and qualified to be able to carry out the jobs in the US.” – Stephanie Canales
STEM Enhancement is really a name for getting people interested in different STEM programs, and it was the one of the seven pillars that Stephanie took an extra moment to discuss. We then went on to talk about women’s roles in the Energy Industry, the shock of some to find out how many women are involved in the industry, and the desire to see more ladies taking an interest in the Energy Industry or in any STEM field. Not just women, though – There are projects and programs to help get youth excited about the different parts of the STEM world as well.
“There’s bountiful information available to people and we wanna’ just share that so that people have those resources to be able to take advantage of what’s available and learn more and get into a fantastic industry. You know, Energy, Oil and Gas, whatever you have an interest in, I mean, there’s something for everybody…” – Stephanie Canales
