HOUR ONE PLAY HARD: Sterling is back from his one day walkabout! On today’s morning show, Jason Spiess and Sterling talk about the news story about the Oregon woman who left her 4-year-old child in the car while she went into the Meat Market in Beaverton, OR. While she was in the Meat Market, her car was stolen with her child in the car.
The child was returned and the car thief then scolded the mother for leaving her child in the car he stole. After he told off the “mother of the year”, he then abandoned the car. The duo dissects and self reflects.
It’s Friday, so Sports Sports Sports Sports Sports Sports is on the table! This weekend’s NFL matchup are predicted, Josh Allen stories, bizarre sports injuries and whether a coach should be held liable for bringing an axe into the locker room.
Author, writer and blogger Terry Etam joins the program via the Swan Energy phone lines. Terry talks several themes in his book that are relevant today and how the climate activists seem to continue to push their narrative further towards an oil and gas ban despite the science and logistical obstacles.
ESG and social pressures are discussed in detail while transitioning into the Keystone XL and Line 3 Pipeline. Terry explains how important those two pipelines are to Canada as well as the industry overall.
Pipeline safety, trucks on the road, rail cars next to waterways and increases costs are several examples given as reasons to question and challenge President Joe Biden’s executive order rescinding the Keystone XL pipeline.
Another topic of discussion is the issue of overall disconnect in leadership. Terry gives a quick history of the industry and government working together and when that relationship shifted into what it is today. Jason asked if there was a growing numbers of leaders who have a history of an economy based on “bytes and bits” rather than “atoms and hydrocarbon molecules” are trying to lead industry by Silicon Valley concepts than the traditional industry core necessities.
A few geopolitical topics are talked about regarding how politics are shaping the global industry and how natural gas is primed for a big decade or two.
