Martin Luther King Jr. Facts and Squirrel Appreciation Day
Joe Dancy, Oil & Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Center, University of Oklahoma College of Law, gives a boots on the ground update on the Oklahoma and Texas shale plays.
Dancy also shares information and speaker sentiments from several conferences over the past month. Many believe 2019 will start slow for oil and gas, and become stronger as the year goes on.
Pipelines and energy infrastructure are discussed on how they will be impacting the industry’s ability to move oil and gas once these projects are completed. D.U.C.s are also talked about as an example that impacts energy production.
The potential culture change in energy communities and the workforce shortage was discusses as one of the biggest stories in the oil and gas industry right now. Thousands of jobs are available in the energy industry, but many need additional education and are being filled by diverse workers.
The University of Oklahoma College of Law is now doing their own Energy Podcast and Dancy gives a quick overview of their process and mission.

Joe Dancy, Distinguished Lecturer, Energy Law and Economics, Oil, Gas, Natural Resources, and Energy Center, published more than seventy papers on the oil & gas industry, written five textbooks on the energy or environmental sector, and have been cited as legal authority in more than sixty articles, institutes, published case decisions, and treatises.
