Among the suggestions for approaching private equity providers: Walk in with a team that has worked together before, show you’ve made money and have an asset on lockdown.

Times of crisis provide an opportunity for those with cash in their pocket or access to cash, Clark noted. “When things look the toughest, you can find some great opportunities,” he said.

“Wooing Investors with Effective ESG Performance” was moderated by Kaitlyn Allen, president and CEO of Global Affairs Associates, LLC , with panelists Alejandra (Ale) Veltmann, CPA, founder and CEO of ESG Lynk; Craig Webster, managing director of ESG & Sustainability at TUDOR INVESTMENT CORPORATION, Pickering & Holt; Brooke Baum, JD, sustainability advisor at Devon Energy; and Michael Rubio, general manager of ESG Engagement & Sustainability at Chevron Corp.
