The TrainND Foundation, a recently developed nonprofit, received a donation from the Williston Noon Lions Club for student scholarships.
“The TrainND Foundation’s mission is to change lives and industry by supporting the highest quality workforce training in North Dakota,” stated Kenley Nebeker, president of the TrainND Foundation. “This donation from the Noon Lions Club will directly impact both a person by supplementing training costs, as well as industry by allowing that person to fill a high need job in our great state of North Dakota.”
Nebeker added the purpose of the TrainND Foundation is to offer scholarship opportunities to individuals seeking technical training who have financial need but do not meet established criteria for government assistance.
The current programs that are eligible for scholarships include the Commercial Driver’s License Program (CDL), Crane Program, Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA) and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS, better known as drones).
In addition to opportunities given to individuals from the Lion’s donation, the 501c3 status allows the TrainND Foundation to be eligible for a number of grants that TrainND Northwest would not qualify for as a state agency.
Nebeker added any other grants will allow for the development of new programs, as well as enhancements to existing programs and equipment used for training purposes.
The TrainND Foundation will be opening an application period for the limited scholarships mentioned above in January of 2023.

Heins is also a vocal advocate of the Internet of Everything, free trade, and global issues affecting the third of our planet that still lives in abject poverty.
Heins is troubled by the Carbon Tax, Cap & Trade, Carbon Offsets and Carbon Credits, because he questions their efficacy in solving the climate problem, are too gamable by rent seekers, and are fraught with unreliable accounting.
Heins worries that climate and other environmental reporting in the US and Europe has become too politicized, ignores the essential role carbon-based energy continues to play in the lives of billions, demonizes the promise and practicality of Nuclear Energy and cheerleads for renewable energy sources that cannot solve the real world problems of scarcity and poverty.
