The America First Policy Institute (AFPI) launched a nationwide petition encouraging Americans to sign their name and show their support in making “America Energy Independent Again”.
“It’s no secret that the Biden Administration’s failed energy policies are being felt by every American and relished by America’s enemies,” said Rick Perry, chair for AFPI’s Center for Energy Independence, former Governor of Texas, and 14th Secretary of Energy. “America boasts some of the world’s largest energy reserves and can produce energy more responsibly and efficiently than anywhere else in the world. We should unapologetically do so instead of begging other nations, including our adversaries, to produce more. We need to return to America First energy policies that put American energy and American jobs first, rather than counting on authoritarian rogue states like Iran and Venezuela.”
Re-establishing U.S. production means more American jobs, greater energy security within our borders and our allies alike, lower prices for American families, and more strength abroad as we confront mounting threats from Russia and China and the continued antagonism of rogue state actors.
In 2019, the United States became a net energy exporter for the first time in 60 years. America First Policy Institute believes the U.S. can restore its energy independence. The American First Policy Institute’s petition sends a clear message to the Far Left that the American people want to unleash our Nation’s energy potential.
