According to Yahoo! Sports, the sign of an impressive GM is turning a bottom-half draft slot into top-half results. Such was the case with The Industrial Forest, which flipped its No. 11 overall pick into a projected 4th-place finish in The Crude Life Fantasy Football League.
The Industrial Forest are predicted to put up a total of 2,202 points based on the current roster, which would result in a 10-5 record.
The Industrial Forest’s Steal of the Draft: Melvin Gordon III
What a late-round value for The Industrial Forest, who picked up Gordon III with the 2nd pick of the 10th round, about two rounds later than his ADP of 92. After a season in which he rushed for 986 yards and 9 TDs and had 32 catches for 158 yards and 1 TD, totaling 182 fantasy points, Gordon III is projected to score 146 fantasy points with the Broncos. That makes him a valuable No. 4 RB for this squad.
The Industrial Forest’s Stretch Pick of the Draft: Michael Gallup
Are you friends with Denzel Washington? Because you must have had an “Inside Man” telling you to select Gallup with the 2nd pick in the 8th round, about 33 spots earlier than his ADP of 119. Then again, maybe you’re onto something. Projected to score 190 fantasy points this season with the Cowboys, he looks set to beat last year when he recorded 59 catches for 843 yards and 5 TDs to post 144 fantasy points. Gallup will slot in as the No. 3 WR for The Industrial Forest, based on projected points.
The early bird gets the worm. You got out ahead of your opponents at tight end, drafting Travis Kelce (No. 11 overall) as the first TE off the board.
The Industrial Forest are in for a rude awakening in Week 9 when they have four players on a bye (Ryan Fitzpatrick, Antonio Brown, Curtis Samuel, and Dustin Hopkins). Your Week 9 opponent, Tiffany’s Top-Notch Team, won’t be nearly as encumbered with only one player (D’Andre Swift) on a bye week.
For the first half of the season, The Industrial Forest have one of the best schedules in The Crude Life based on projections with an early-season strength of schedule rated as the 2nd easiest. In spite of that, for the full season, The Industrial Forest should expect a fairly balanced path ranked as the 9th hardest.
The Industrial Forest seem to prioritize age before beauty, putting together a lineup with an average of 6 years of NFL experience, ranking as the oldest group in the league. Case in point: they didn’t pick any of the 12 rookies drafted.
