It’s time once again for our Annual Year In Review interviews! Last March 2020, Tom Shepstone, NaturalGasNow.org, discusses the recent attempt by politicians to profit off of the COVID-19 Shutdown. The interview dives into the purpose of capitalism in society and how the oil and gas industry is the last bastion for a free market.
“…they never seem to simply say times up enough is enough you know. That never happens. It’s always a very slow ratchet down, but, that’s been happening so what’s going on now is the Democrats are essentially saying this is our opportunity to reward one of our key constituency groups. We will get something big and more permanent on these wind and solar energy tax credits. And of course it’s a it’s a ripoff of unimaginable proportions.
It is…. I’m gonna say it, this is evil. This is truly evil that these people are trying to do this at this point. I don’t think I’m exaggerating. So I’m very upset about it.”
Shepstone talks about similarities with the 2009 recession and also a couple new trends to keep an eye on which could be layered into the economic issues any day.
Green opportunism is also discussed in detail. The different methods and narratives the extreme environmentalists have used to shaped the coronavirus as an example of how Green Energy can work and save the planet.
