The North Dakota Petroleum Council (NDPC) announced that Brady Pelton has joined the organization as Government Affairs Manager. In this position, Pelton will advocate for the NDPC on key issues and their impact on the oil and gas industry on the state, county, local and tribal levels.
“We’re excited to have Brady joining our team,” said Ron Ness, President of the NDPC. “He brings invaluable personal and public experience to this position and will be a tremendous asset in building strong stakeholder relationships and further advancing North Dakota’s energy industry.”
Hailing from a farm and ranch near Killdeer, N.D., Pelton is no stranger to the oil and gas industry. Apart from his personal experience growing up and living amidst oil and gas activity, he also served as the deputy executive director of the North Dakota Association of Oil and Gas Producing Counties (today the Western Dakota Energy Association) where he acted as the organization’s lead lobbyist and represented the interests of western North Dakota’s counties, cities and school districts. While attending law school, Pelton also served as Industry Liaison for the Energy Law Association.
Pelton holds bachelor’s degrees in political science and public administration from the University of North Dakota and recently earned his law degree from the University of North Dakota School of Law, where he graduated with honors in May 2017.
