Interview: Brad Lincoln, co-founder, Funkwerks Brewery, Fort Collins, CO
Brad Lincoln and Jason Spiess talk about the latest in microbrews, including their newest offering – Pineapple Provincial. The two also discuss whether Funkwerks will ever get into the cannabis beer market, what their stable beers are and how a former accountant got into the beer business.
Lincoln said his beer background began when he was underage in the Saginaw House cellar saloon in Flagstaff, AZ. His roommate was a bartender and introduced him to several beers including Cream Stout by Sam Adams. Lincoln said he was hooked on craft beers and never looked back.
Funkwerks has recently expanded their distribution into North Dakota and South Dakota. Funkwerks has appointed Johnson Brothers of North Dakota and Johnson Brothers of South Dakota to distribute its brands statewide. Johnson Brothers also handles the distribution of Funkwerks in Iowa and Minnesota.
