ICI began in 1918, the Year Lignite Combustion Engineering Corp. was founded in Bismarck North Dakota. ICI was officially established in 1958 and bought by APi Group, Inc. of New Brighton, Minnesota in 1982. APi Group is a family of more than 36 independent companies within the Life Safety, and Industrial and Specialty Construction industries.
